Process principle:

The principle of complex iron desulfurization process is to use oxygen in the air to oxidize hydrogen sulfide, so that hydrogen sulfide is oxidized to elemental sulfur, the reaction equation: H2S 1/202 → H2O S

The complex iron desulfurization catalyst utilizes the oxidation-reduction property of the complex iron ions in the aqueous solution to cause a gas-liquid phase contact reaction between a hydrogen sulfide-containing gas and an aqueous solution containing the complex iron catalyst. The gas-liquid phase contact reaction first through the partial basicity of the aqueous solution, in the gas-liquid contact through the acid-base chemical absorption of hydrogen sulfide in the feed gas into the aqueous solution; in the aqueous solution, the use of high-valence complex iron ions oxidation of hydrogen sulfide into elemental sulfur, complex iron ions are reduced to low-valence complex ferrous ions.

 

Technical characteristics of complex iron method

1) The process is simple, which can quickly oxidize hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur and has high efficiency in removing H2S.

2) The system has strong impact resistance and high sulfur capacity characteristics of complexed iron, so that the desulfurization rate will not be affected when the H2S content fluctuates greatly.

3) The operating cost is low. The complexed iron can be recycled as a catalyst and no side reactions occur. Only a small amount of supplement is required during operation. The operating cost of producing one ton of sulfur is 1,000-1,500 yuan.
